Mission: Empowering the local Church to serve the most vulnerable

Vision: In community with the local Church, World Relief envisions the most vulnerable people transformed economically, socially, and spiritually.

Rebuilding Lives in the Central Valley

Refugees and immigrants bravely leave behind everything familiar to seek safety, a life free from fear, and the chance
for a new start. At World Relief Modesto, we come alongside our new neighbors by providing support and care
through their first months and years of transition as an investment in future generations.

In World Relief Modesto we are committed to the long-term stability and integration of the vulnerable. In partnership with our local community and volunteers, we provide a platform
through which immigrants and refugees can achieve success and integration in their new home.

World Relief Volunteer

Amie's Story

Amie, a volunteer for World Relief had been busy preparing for a family's arrival for over a week. While World Relief had secured a home, the family needed a temporary place to stay for a couple of days. Amie and her Church along with other volunteers, prepared temporary housing in a large room at their church.

Over the next few days, Amie’s church brought the family meals and welcomed them to America. Furniture donations and even clothes for the children were brought to their new home.

Amie’s relationship with the family began that evening and today has become a solid friendship. The family's life has been changed because of their relationship with a volunteer. They feel welcomed and embraced by their community and that started with Amie who stepped out of her comfort zone to welcome our new neighbor to the community.

Be like Amie and volunteer at World Relief!
