The GAP Team recognizes that God has called each of us to be a blessing to the people in our community who struggle with food insecurity. GAP Food Pantry serves as the hands and feet of Christ to provide good, quality food to the hungry. God has blessed GAP Volunteers with the love, compassion and the desire to reach out to those in in need.  GAP food is shared with love and respect to those who come for assistance, it is given freely without judgment or condemnation. It is our intention that GAP clients receive not only food for their physical hunger, but also kindness and grace to feed their spiritual and emotional hunger.

For I was hungry and you fed me, I was thirsty and you gave me water, I was a stranger and you invited me into your home. Matthew 25:35

I always leave GAP feeling 'full' of the caring and compassion given freely of volunteers and the knowledge my pantry is full ❤🙏

As a former GAP client it has now become my pleasure to be the director of this food ministry. It is wonderful getting to know each of our clients by name & a little about their life. We enjoy finding the highest quality of foods available to us from Big Lots/Sisk Rd., Salvation Army, InterFaith Ministries, Second Harvest & Sprouts/McHenry Ave. to share generously with our clients & partner agencies in Stanislaus County.

When I lost my job due to injury & my income went down substantially I needed some type of help since I barely had money for household expenses & food. The people at GAP & The Well are such amazing volunteers who work tirelessly to help make us feel welcome, safe & not like we’re there for handouts like some organizations do.
